GOLD level LEED certificate for Hotel Indigo Helsinki – Boulevard

The Hotel Indigo Helsinki – Boulevard hotel property has achieved the internationally renowned
LEED environmental certification at the GOLD level for the operational phase.
The hotel property already had GOLD level LEED certification for the construction phase.

LEED environmental certification

The LEED environmental classification system is an international voluntary environmental certification that evaluates the sustainable development of the design, construction, operation and maintenance of buildings. The certification evaluates, among other things, the building’s energy efficiency, water use, waste efficiency, indoor conditions, and commuting and comfort.

The certificate is based on an assessment of the environmental characteristics of the building and maintenance by an independent third party and is also internationally comparable. During the certification process, the building’s environmental performance and environmental effects were evaluated. The building achieved excellent scores, e.g. energy efficiency, commuting, indoor air quality and user satisfaction.
