Helsinki Metro – Central Railway Station Closed 3.6.-1.9.2024 – How to Get to Ruoholahti?

From early June to early September, Helsinki Central Railway Station’s metro station will be closed, and the metro will operate from Kamppi station westward and from Helsinki University station (Kaisaniemi) eastward.

These maintenance works will also affect how you can use public transportation to get to Ruoholahti and our hotel, Holiday Inn Helsinki West – Ruoholahti, from the city center. During the period from June 3rd to September 1st, you can reach our hotel via Kamppi metro station, which is about 600 meters from the railway station. Alternatively, you can take local bus number 21 from Kamppi to the Porkkalankatu 3 stop (H1013, next to the ROIHU office building), which is only 100 meters from our hotel.

Due to major renovation and maintenance works, metro traffic will be entirely suspended at Central Railway Station from June 3rd to September 1st, during which the station will be closed. The metro will run between Helsinki University and East Helsinki, as well as between Kamppi and Kivenlahti. Only trams will operate between Helsinki University and Kamppi.
